This site tells the story of my 8 full-time roles, but leaves out a few side quests along the way—like the 5 years I spent as an adjunct professor at SVA, teaching interaction design to undergrad seniors while working at Squarespace and later at Instagram.
Over the years I held many roles, but at heart I’m just a designer, a maker of things big and small, and, most importantly, a joy to be around. Before I ultimately planted myself in Brooklyn, New York, I spent my childhood in a small Turkish beach town called Fethiye.
On a personal note, I’m a firm believer in common sense, a user of public transportation, and a lover of old buildings and new movies. I studied graphic design because of my love of basic decomposition of shapes, and also because I was very good at drawing in kindergarten.
These days, I’m most excited about where design and technology come together to spark more playful, memorable, and human experiences. I love working with teams who share that curiosity and push ideas further than any one of us could alone.
